Reference projects of Fraunhofer IESE

The aim of the “OneViewMed” (OVM) project was to significantly improve the information situation for medical staff. Work processes were to be simplified and patient safety further increased. To achieve this, Fraunhofer IESE developed a graphical dashboard together with medical staff and the IT departments of Frankfurt University Hospital in order to facilitate the work of medical staff and ensure interoperability between the IT systems used on different wards.

With automated ECG data analysis, Apoplex enables medical professionals to identify risks at an early stage and take targeted preventive measures. The solutions are flexible and available at any time, making preventive work easier in everyday clinical practice.

Fraunhofer IESE supports BorgWarner Systems Engineering GmbH in process and product quality by establishing suitable technologies in software and systems engineering as well as safety engineering.

In the project, Fraunhofer IESE adapted CosmosDirekt's processes for application development with regard to IT security and secure software development to the updated Europe-wide regulatory requirements of the Generali parent company.

1. FC Kaiserslautern is aiming for comprehensive digitalization measures that affect the strategic and operational business of the soccer club. Above all, FCK wants to modernize its systems and business processes holistically and take them to the next level of digitalization. The club from the Western Palatinate is relying on Fraunhofer IESE as its digitalization partner.

In the project EURIDICE, Fraunhofer IESE is developing knowledge content on Digital Ecosystems and, together with European universities, start-ups, and research institutions, is building a network for the exchange of knowledge content on digital technologies.

In the publicly funded project Bridge-Up, Fraunhofer IESE is collaborating with the University of Bonn to develop a solution for implementing data provider rights and data trustee obligations – to promote data provider participation in trustee models.

Tumor-targeted drug therapy is an important part of the treatment of cancer and malignant blood diseases. Many chemotherapy regimens usually combine several active substances, and complex protocols may contain three or more substances. The individual substances are each associated with side effects. These require specific concomitant and supportive therapy. In addition to anti-tumor therapy, prophylactic drugs are integrated into the protocol as essential supportive therapy.

In the project DeepQuali, Fraunhofer IESE is collaborating with its project partners to develop an AI-based tool that checks and evaluates software quality.

In the lighthouse project “RNAuto”, seven Fraunhofer Institutes are collaborating to develop automated production technologies for mRNA-based medicinal products. The consortium bundles interdisciplinary competencies from the fields of medicine, biology, and engineering sciences.
