Dr. Joachim Weber

Dr. Joachim Weber promovierte 2002 an der TU Kaiserslautern in den Bereichen Robotik und Künstliche Intelligenz und wandte sich in den folgenden Jahren einer Tätigkeit in der Industrie zu. Neben verantwortlichen Aufgaben in der Echtzeit- und Automatisierungstechnik war er als Softwarearchitekt und Product Owner für Informationssysteme tätig. Von 2022 bis 2024 leitete Dr. Weber die Abteilung »Architecture-Centric Engineering (ACE)« am Fraunhofer IESE und beschäftigte sich mit der branchenübergreifenden, angewandten Forschung zu Softwarearchitekturen. Seit 2024 ist er in der Abteilung »Smart City Engineering (SCE)« als Product Owner in Cloud-Projekten, Projektleiter und Experte für Internet of Things (IoT) und Künstliche Intelligenz (KI) tätig. --- Dr. Joachim Weber received his PhD at TU Kaiserslautern in the areas of Robotics and Artificial Intelligence and turned to working in industry in the following years. In addition to high-responsibility tasks in real-time and automation technology, he worked as a software architect and product owner for information systems. From 2022 to 2024, Dr. Weber co-headed the department “Architecture-Centric Engineering (ACE)” and focused on cross-industry, applied research on software architectures. Since 2024, he has been working in the "Smart City Engineering (SCE)" department as a product owner for cloud projects, project manager and expert for Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
