Nina Müller

Nina Müller ist als Smart City Engineer am Fraunhofer-Institut für Experimentelles Software Engineering IESE in Kaiserslautern tätig. Hier arbeitet sie an der Schnittstelle zwischen Softwareengineering und Anwendungsfeldern in Städten, Regionen und Gemeinden. Dabei beschäftigt sie sich vor allem mit Urbanen digitalen Zwillingen, als Lead des Forschungsteam UDZ sowie dem sinnvollen Einsatz von KI in Kommunen. Hier ist sie auch als Sprecherin des AK „KI in Kommunen“ beim NEGZ aktiv.
Ihr Projektschwerpunkt liegt in der Koordinierungs- und Transferstelle des Förderprojekts »Modellprojekte Smart Cities« für das Bundesministerium für Wohnen, Stadtentwicklung und Bauwesen (BMWSB).
Sie absolvierte ihr Studium der Raumplanung und Stadt- & Regionalentwicklung an der TU Kaiserslautern.

She focuses on urban digital twins as the lead of the UDZ research team and the meaningful use of AI in municipalities. She is also active as the spokesperson for the “AI in Municipalities” working group at NEGZ.
Her project focus is on the coordination and transfer office of the “Smart Cities Model Projects” funding project for the Federal Ministry of Housing, Urban Development, and Construction (BMWSB).
She completed her studies in spatial planning and urban and regional development at the TU Kaiserslautern.
