A training concept by developers for developers
Experience digital transformation firsthand – with intensive training from Eclipse BaSyx developers on implementing digital twins with the Asset Administration Shell.
What makes our training special is:
The Asset Administration Shell (AAS) is becoming a key technology for implementing digital twins. As a standardized and open approach, the AAS enables central applications such as the digital product passport, product carbon footprint tracking, and predictive maintenance – without dependence on individual providers, i.e., without vendor lock-in.
The Deep Dive clearly focuses on practical implementation. Participants receive a compact introduction to the basics of AAS, an overview of the open-source ecosystem, and extensive hands-on exercises with Eclipse BaSyx and related tools. In interactive sessions, they will acquire in-depth technical know-how and gain direct experience in using AAS for industrial applications. In addition, participants are invited to bring their own challenges – these will be addressed jointly during the workshop to ensure maximum practical relevance and direct applicability for specific use cases.
Our two-day training course immerses participants in the world of Asset Administration Shells and helps them build practical skills.
Basic knowledge of computer science, engineering, or a related field is helpful.
The seminar was designed by experts at Fraunhofer IESE and has already been successfully held several times.
Philippe Barbie completed his Master's degree in Applied Computer Science (M.Sc.) at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern in 2022, specializing in embedded systems and electrical engineering. He has extensive expertise in systems and software engineering, particularly in system modeling and the development of digital twins.
His skills include software development, the development and use of digital twins, and model-based systems engineering (MBSE). He is also experienced in requirements analysis and software development for advanced MBSE tool extensions.
In the field of digital twins, he has in-depth knowledge of design and development for industrial applications, particularly using Eclipse BaSyx as a middleware solution.
