2nd Rhineland-Palatinate Digital Forum 2019

Following last year’s success, the second Rhineland-Palatinate Digital Forum will take place with Minister President Malu Dreyer at the Gutenberg Digital Hub in Mainz on 26 September 2019. The state government will discuss current issues related to digitalization and present results and measures of the strategy for digital life in Rhineland-Palatinate. With this interdepartmental event, the state government is continuing its active dialog on digitalization with its citizens. The winners of the idea contest “Ehrenamt 4.0” [Volunteering 4.0] will also receive their awards once more in the context of this event.

Digital applications are a part of our daily lives. We chat with our friends all over the world, the parcel delivery person brings the clothes we ordered on the Internet, and the architect sends the plans for the new house by email. Digital life is happening everywhere, and we are right in the middle of it.

Fraunhofer IESE will also be present with MYDATA Control Technologies and the Digital Villages:

Presentation: Umfassende Sicherheit: Safety meets Security

“MYDATA Control Technologies”

Digitalization is progressing faster and faster in all areas. This leads to the challenge of trustworthy and legally compliant usage of data. The concept of data usage control offers the solution. It enables cross-system usage of data while at the same time complying with data sovereignty requirements. With MYDATA Control Technologies from Fraunhofer IESE, the concept can be implemented in practice. This allows data to be shared while at the same time maintaining control over this data.

You are interested and have questions about “MYDATA Control Technologies”? Then visit us at our booth in the lobby of the Gutenberg Digital Hub!

“Digital Villages”

The Digital Villages will present software services for rural areas developed at Fraunhofer IESE in the context of this project. At the booth of the Digital Villages in the “Digital Lobby“, representatives of the project will answer your questions regarding “digitalization for rural areas” and present solutions. The Digital Villages model municipality Betzdorf-Gebhardshain will also be represented at the booth – along with a 3D printer and VR glasses from the Living Lab there.
