As a so-called “Red Team”, Fraunhofer IESE provides various SOC services for the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft in the area of proactive IT security measures.

A Security Operations Center (SOC) is a central facility that provides IT security services and protects a company’s entire IT infrastructure as part of these services. In the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, the tasks of the SOC are divided into the areas of proactive and reactive IT security measures (prevention and detection of attacks), incident handling (handling of attacks), preparation of situation reports, continuing education and training, as well as organizational and technical consulting.
Since 2021, the services of the SOC have been provided in cooperation by Fraunhofer IESE (Red Team), Fraunhofer IOSB (Blue Team), and Fraunhofer FKIE (continuing education and training).
