In the project ProDebt, Fraunhofer IESE and its project partners developed and tested an innovative, tool-supported method for the strategic planning and control of technical debt in agile software projects. During the evolution and adaptation of software, software quality is often neglected due to budget and time constraints – consciously or unconsciously. With each new version, costs (technical debt) are incurred. The interest is reduced development speed and increased maintenance effort or even standstill.
