Our Tools in User Experience

Here we present some of the tools we use in our projects. We have a lot of experience with different prototyping and design tools and can combine them to achieve the best results for your projects.

Paper Prototyping

We use paper prototyping in our user-centered design (UCD) approach. The UI design, interaction design, and interaction concepts of applications that are newly developed or improved can be tested quickly, easily, and cost-effectively. Software behavior can be tested using drawn or printed GUI components. We use Adobe Flash Catalyst to prototype and implement user interfaces for rich Internet applications.

Microsoft Expression Sketchflow

We use Microsoft Expression Sketchflow and Balsamiq Mockups to implement and test applicable, functional interaction concepts. Initially, no visual design is defined so that the subjects can concentrate purely on the interaction concept. When the UI design and the interaction concept have been specified, the visual design can be adapted.

Adobe Flash Catalyst

We use Adobe Flash Catalyst to prototype and implement user interfaces for rich Internet applications. With imported graphic vectors from other design tools, we can generate optimal prototypes that can be used in user evaluations later on.

Eye Tracking

Eye tracking is a method for measuring the movement of a person’s gaze when observing an object or an interactive application. By combining eye tracking and usability testing, the conductor of the test brings the subject to solve typical tasks involving the test object and motivates him to comment aloud on his actions, feelings, and thoughts (thinking aloud method).
