Infra-Bau Closing Event
Infrastructure projects such as road and bridge construction are complex and expensive construction projects that often overrun their schedule, quality, and cost targets. The joint project “Infra-Bau 4.0” addresses this problem. The aim of the project is to develop a platform that enables automated progress and change control at the construction site through networking and system interoperability. This also comes with better risk management and the possibility to take proactive action through automated replanning in the event of disrupted construction processes.
The consortium – led by the consulting firm Drees & Sommer – comprises 16 partners from industry and research. The technical and scientific lead is provided by Fraunhofer IESE in Kaiserslautern. The project was initiated by the Science and Innovation Alliance Kaiserslautern.
At the closing event, the project results will be presented using scenarios from bridge and earthworks construction. You can expect exciting presentations and demonstrations on the platform as well as on the topics of data security, progress recording, automated replanning, onboarding, business models, and our evaluation results.
The event will take place online on 02 December 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to 1 p.m.; you will receive the link once you have registered.
Program will follow shortly.
