Review and Analysis of the IT Infrastructure at Cosmos Direkt
The Cosmos Direkt Group is the number one direct insurance company in Germany, with more than two billion euros of premium revenues and 1.6 million customers. One important part of the Cosmos formula of success is its direct contact to the customers and the 24/7, all-year availability of that direct contact.
In a joint project, Fraunhofer IESE analyzed the current IT infrastructure of Cosmos Direkt. Improvements of the IT infrastructure, enriched by business requirements, formed the basis for a sustainable target solution as one big picture of the IT infrastructure. The big picture covers the views of both IT and business – one priority business requirement being the high availability of customer service, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
