Fraunhofer IESE supported Hitachi in the development and deployment of dynamic assurance mechanisms in the context of Smart Logistics in order to increase the efficiency of autonomous mobile robots in co-working spaces with humans while ensuring safety at the same time.

Success Story Robert Bosch GmbH: IIn the project, a flexible software safety architecture was developed that enables the use of hardware without specific safety functions for safety-relevant applications.

Reference Project Mercedes-Benz AG: Together with TU Kaiserslautern, Fraunhofer IESE developed a measurement platform (DRAMMeasure) for DRAM memories for Mercedes-Benz AG in order to determine performance parameters for future electronic control units.

Reference Project Robert Bosch GmbH: Together with Robert Bosch GmbH, Fraunhofer IESE realized the virtual integration and validation of electronic control units (ECUs) using the Fraunhofer technology FERAL.

Reference Project V&V Methods: In the publicly funded project V&V Methods, Fraunhofer IESE is conducting research together with its project partners on test procedures and validation methods to provide safety cases for automated vehicles (SAE Levels 4 and 5).

Reference Project Volkswagen AG: In a joint project with Volkswagen, Fraunhofer IESE worked on an agile approach for quality assurance of the group software.
